!: Panasonic Digital Cameras - The Panasonic DMC-G2K

The Panasonic DMC G2K is a successor of G1. It is smaller in size and lighter weight than an SLR which will make it easier to carry around with you for long outings. It does have advanced features but the settings and navigation features are easy enough for a novice photographer to learn and use. It is considered to be "user friendly" and is a good step up from it's predecessor.

The Panasonic Lumix DMC G2 has 12.1 MP Live MOS Interchangeable lens camera with 3-Inch Touch Screen LCD and 14-42mm Lumix G VARIO f/3.5-5.6 MEGA OIS. It has received very high ratings for ease of use, image quality, interface and construction quality.

If, you are tired of lugging around a larger and heavier SLR then this might be the camera for you. It has very solid and good construction but, it is still small and lightweight. The swivel screen allows for odd angle pictures which will only add to the variety of photo's that can be taken with this versatile little camera. It is small only in size and not the capacity for what it can do.

Lumix G10 Review - What You Need To Know About the Lumix G10!

!: Lumix G10 Review - What You Need To Know About the Lumix G10!

The Lumix G10 is a high end compact digital camera which is aimed at novice and intermediate photographers. This is due to the fact it has many simple features which can be expanded upon using the menu buttons. It also holds the title of the 'worlds lightest system camera.'

Ease of use on the Lumix G10 is great as its light weight and small size enable it to be carried around effortlessly. This makes it good if you want to take quick photos or just keep it ready just in case you need to take a quick shot.

Some of the shots that come out of the Panasonic Lumix G10 have been known to be soft but aren't too much of a problem. As a tip if you have Photoshop on your PC you can easily sharpen the pictures if you want to, its not necessary but can help. However some people like their photos softer so it's a matter of personal choice.

HD movie recording is quite a large thing these days as it allows people to capture scenes as they are happening and add more vivid memories. The use of Intelligent Auto mode definitely helps to reduce blur and other unwanted effects, make sure this is enabled during the movie process.

If you're a complete novice to photography or want to get started in the professional career, this digital camera could be a good starting point. Since this is a middle band camera we wouldn't expect experts to use this but could become quite the package if add ons such as high quality lenses are acquired.

What is GPS (GEO) Photo Tagging?

!: What is GPS (GEO) Photo Tagging?

The onset of the Global positioning system (GPS) technology was originally developed for military use. It is used today as the foundation for some great innovative gadgets that we use on a daily basis. GPS is used in cellphones, automobile navigation systems and standalone GPS's used by joggers, hunters and people from all walks of life. Just in the last few years the technology is used to tag digital photos with GPS data containing precise geographic information.

Do you have boxes of photos that you can't remember where they were photographed, or the date and time? It can be a frustrating process trying to remember the information. Well there is a solution to the problem, called geotagging. When you geotag photos, you are adding the latitude, longitude, and altitude information into the image file. It adds the data into something called the EXIF (exchangeable image file format) area of the image file. Additional information such as time and date can also be included in the stored image file.

Newer cameras have global positioning system (GPS) units built into them. When a photo is taken, it is automatically stamped with the camera's location. This method produces the most accurate result. Because not all cameras come with a built-in geotagging device, there are a number of geotagging devices that are mountable on cameras that have a hotshoe. The devices normally come with software which adds the data after the photo download, to the file associated with the photo image. Recent innovations add the GPS receiver right in the camera. This does two things, it provides GPS locations for photos and automatically adds the data into the EXIF area which saves the frustration of trying to marry the data with the photo by using other processes.

There is a company in Germany that has enhanced the acquisition of geodata by developing the JOBO photoGPS will also includes the address (i.e. country, city, street) and closest point of interest in the image file. This enables you to search for specific places, streets or points of interest without having to tag each picture individually. And the best part is that the JOBO photoGPS works in nearly all countries worldwide. For access to geotagging devices and cameras and additional information take a look at placeforgps.com.

Panasonic Lumix Dmc-Zs7 Best Price Tip - Plus 3 simple Rules for Getting Great Snapshots!

!: Panasonic Lumix Dmc-Zs7 Best Price Tip - Plus 3 simple Rules for Getting Great Snapshots!

Are you one of the many habitancy trying to find a Panasonic Lumix Dmc-Zs7 Best Price? Here is a tip on how to get this phenomenal digital camera for a little bit cheaper, but first here are 3 straightforward rules for getting the best snapshots to share with family and friends for generations.

Taking Great Snapshots with the Lumix Dmc-Zs7

It is easy to get great snapshots of those extra moments in your life. You don't need fancy costly gear to get great pictures, all you need is a good 'point and shoot' camera.

We usually think of snapshots as pictures of habitancy smiling into the camera on their summer vacation, and these are great fun to take and look at long after the vacation ends. But the ones I love to look at are the ones that capture a story and trigger bigger memories. Beyond snapshots, these photographs are like windows into the past and conjure up much more that what has unquestionably been captured in the frame. They might show an facial expression that you can't get in a posed photograph, but that sums up someone's character, or perhaps an unusual situation that you can't stage. Or maybe it's something unquestionably ordinary like a loved one curled up in a chair reading a beloved book that unquestionably takes you back. So here are a few straightforward rules to help you get great pictures that you can enjoy for years to come:

Spontaneity and The Decisive Moment
A great picture catches that elusive moment that is there and gone again in a split second. This is unquestionably visible in action photography: a dancer right at the top of their pose or football player at just that moment when they are catching the ball. The 'decisive moment' also can be much more subtle, for example, a telling sidelong glance, or a moment of surprise or uncertainty. Being able to act fast is crucial to capturing the 'decisive moment' and this is where many of the cheaper digital cameras can let you down. Do you have to wait long for your camera to load up before use? Do you have to wait between shots because of excessive shutter delays? The Lumix Dmc-Zs7 loads up fast and has no delay between shots so you won't miss the 'decisive moment'! Capture Your branch in Time and Place
When you capture what is colse to your central branch you add another dimension, and your picture becomes a document for your branch in just that moment in their history. This is the picture that tells a story and triggers memories for years to come. It is prominent to have a wide angle lens especially if you are taking pictures in smaller indoor spaces. The Lumix Dmc-Zs7 has a 25mm lens which is wider than most 'point and shoot' cameras. Light and Composition
A great picture uses light and mixture for emotional or aesthetic effect. Light creates mood and having a camera that is light sensitive and will do some of the thinking for you in low light situations is essential. Again beware of the cheap digital camera! If you like pictures with mood, it will be worth it for you to spending a few extra dollars for a camera that gets great results in low light. In camera reviews, the Lumix Dmc-Zs7 rates top for light sensitivity. Composition, on the other hand, doesn't wish technology. It's entirely up to you! Ask yourself:
- What is the picture about and how can you use mixture to tell it?
- What do you pick to keep in the frame and what you chose to keep out? - What is the focal point? - Do you want depth and perspective?
- Or does a flat feel work better for this photograph?
- Do you want an intimate feel? Panasonic Dmc's 12X zoom is excellent for getting a close and intimate feel without unquestionably being close to your subject. phenomenal potential even at full zoom.Panasonic Lumix Dmc reviews all rate it as the top 'point and shoot' camera on the market. It is easy to use and produces superb potential digital images even in the most difficult circumstances. It is a great digital camera for capturing those extra moments.
